It seems like the Neuros OSD would have enough horsepower to run a Super Nintendo or Genesis emulator. I would love to see something like this happen. Who do you have to sleep with around here to get someone to port ZSNES to the osd?

That is one hell of an idea.

If you could get an emulator to work on NanoX, it would rock! The ARM processor runs at about 200Mhz, that should be fast enough, right?

The only issue is a controller, the remote it too slow.

Could the USB port be used for a controller?  There are many USB controllers available.

I don't sure if I understand what you say.
But at present, USB just is device port.

sweng, he's asking if you could plug in a game controller into the OSD's USB port.

miah, I'm sure it could work if there's a linux driver for such controllers out there (which I'm sure there is), however there are still issues with the OSD's USB driver. At the moment, it works fine for storage devices, but hubs are a no-no as yet. But it sounds like this problem is being worked on as we speak, so fingers crossed!

There are some controlers out there that work like a USB keyboard, which would probably solve the driver problem.  Can't remember the brand off the top of my head, but I bought a couple for about £10 each, they're superb for working with emulators.  Most emulation software will let you use keyboard controls, and they're ideal for atari / amiga games too.

if someone could get a genesis or snes emulator working on an OSD that would be absolutely awesome. That would be so cool!

I supose that Neuros is more powerfull than GP2X!?!?
