I just purchased two Neuros MPEG 4 Recorder 2 units and both work fine apart from one little detail.
I live in Europe, so we are working with PAL Signals.
One MP4 is connected to a standard DVD-VHS combo player and is used to capture it's output. The resulting files are oddly at 30 fps (as reported by quicktime)
The other unit is connected to a professional Digital Betacam player (Sony J-30). Here the resulting files are 25 fps, which is correct.
On both units, the video output is set to PAL.
Can you tell me how  the device decides wether to record at 25 or 30 fps? In my case it does NOT depend on the PAL/NTSC setting..
I think it should lock to the incoming signal, but why doesn't it work with the VHS player?

What resolution settings are you using, are they both the same?
