Whats your modifications? Physically what have you added, modified to make it better for your application.

My personal:
Onboard recorder. With a cigarette cell phone 5V charger, fanny pack, and bullet cam, does great for any onboard extreme sports vehicles. When the green light is on, press the record button, red light comes on, you don't need a monitor!

Coming soon! wireless mimo technology, to transmit live video to anyone with WiFi, from the extreme sports vehicles. Any help on this would be greatful.

for wireless, take a look at http://www.amazon.com/D-Link-DWL-G730AP-Wireless-Pocket-802-11g/dp/B0002Z45DQ

While we're getting the wifi USB dongle up and going, this is an interesting solution and others have used it with success.  If you rig up something to power both devices with one source, I'd be very interested with that, since one of the issues now is that you need another power supply and have to find a place to plug it in.  Not the end of the world, but it would be nice to eliminate.

RE: wifi DWL-G730AP
the router is 5v, so is the OSD, just parallel the power fron the 5v source. or did I miss the point?

Right now I have it plumbed with a cigarette lighter phone charger. Output 5 volts. 99 Cent store. and I tap 12v for my bullet cam. All works great on startup, and engine running of race car, the real test will be Sat. Vibration, Gs, dirt, dust, frequency's. Have a nice case, CD holder hard case fits perfect after cutting out the CD sleeves. The double tall version $20 at walmart. Cut holes with drill for cables, will be bonding on click tie studs for zip tie applications. sending pics when all installed.

I'm thinking more MIMo technology, it has a better video redudnancy, multi frequency, bounce capable, multi antenna, plus will be able to handle and crazy uncompressed video. blast it direct from the car, anyone in the croud can watch live with a PSP, Blackberry, laptop....you see where I'm going?

4.5V works for the OSD, just tested it. thats 3AA batteries in series, build in parallel more batteries for more capacity. scared to go 4AA thats 6V, this is my only OSD, and the budget can't afford mistakes, only in shpeelling.

Still need max voltage the OSD board can handle, more volts the less capacity I need to carry.

A PSP external battery works perfect. Since the OSD has an identical DC plug as the PSP you can use a PSP car adaptor or an external PSP battery as follows:

I am also playing with WIFI to stream the video live

I want to turn the Neuros into this:
http://www.actioncameras.co.uk/acatalog/MPEG2_Solid_State_Recorder.html
at $1000 that's too big of an investment when Neuros is almost there!

Ex-Navy,
What kind of software, and hardware are you using to get the live streaming.
My idea, see if it fits your application:
Bullet cam to OSD, OSD to Bridge? then anyone with WiFi capabilities would be able to watch the video (within the signal area), I have it on a race car on a dirt oval track, all spectators are line of site.
Thanks for the 5v power tip, very helpful.
Forever greatful!

Not a very interesting mod as such but one i strongly consider is to change the resistor to the led (red/green) in front panel beacuse its very weak, can barely see it.

Anyone else with this problem ?
