Hi.  I made a dashboard widget to change channels on the OSD and to "instant record" for X minutes.  I need beta testers, so if you want to help, please leave me a message, i'll send you the widget.  In order to get it working, you need the web interface of MattJ up and running.  I plan on doing it in a way that the "stock" osd firmware will be OK, but until that, i'll use MattJ interface.  The widget looks like that:

will you help me get it running on the iPhone in the office?  That would be a neat demo, using the iPhone as a wifi remote.

Send me an email to the one you can read in the back of the widget.
Joe, do the iPhone support widgets?

I'll test it on a friend's iPod touch, and resize stuff to make it look better on an iPhone.  Do you want more features in it?

My dashboard widget have been updated, it now work using my web service as a backend.
So first set-up the "iphone/ipod touch" web server, and when that work, the widget will work too.
You can get it there:

hmm i like the idea, but how do u plan on changing to the channel that the user inputs? i thought the OSD couldn't request a channel change to the cable box, or vcr.

or am i missunderstood.
