i purchased my 442 from ebay, and i love it . However when i open the files it says a:/ on the left side and a:/ on the right side. Isn't it supposed to say a:/ on one side and b:/ on the other side and if so does anybody know how to change it

Nope.
You will only get a:/ on the left side and b:/ de the right side once you start using a SD card with your Neuros.
