Hey guys!
I found something veryyyyyyyyy interesting!
I need to make some hacking to make if easy to use, but it will change the way I use my OSD, and will probably change yours too!
If I have time, I'll tell you before monday.

Thanks for all of your help Bagster! But if u have time to post might as well share what u r workinkg on. Are u integrating a usb tuner to the osd? Hence the title of this post "stay tuned?"

Hi Bagster,

While we are staying tuned, how did you downgrade your firmware to 1.6?

Thanks!

Hi!  sorry for the delay.  Here is what I put together:

https://svn.neurostechnology.com/hackers/bagster/x11vnc/

It's a VNC server for the OSD.
With this, I can use my OSD the way I always wanted it, in a "Headless" mode.
So I can do all my scheduling with my computer.

And by playing with this, I learned how the remote works, so I will update soon my widget too, it will work  a way better.

Let me know if you'll use this vnc server!

You are definitely not the only one excited.  This is great stuff!
I can't wait to see how you tie this into your widget.
Thanks for the contribution!

Man this is one of coolest app I have seen on the OSD! Very exciting.

Great job Bagster, if we create a hackers Hall of Fame for the OSD, you will get a shot as it with this  Wink
