Editor for files recorded by my recorder plus

Hi,
I  need an inexpensive PC application to edit the files I record with my MPEG4 Recorder Plus. All I want to do is trim off unwanted stuff at the beginning and end of the recordings and sometimes remove commercials from the middle. Can anyone recommend software (PC) that will do this simply and cheaply?

Try mpeg streamclip. It's free, you can trim and exclude parts, and save in mp4 again. Download at www.squared5.com  .
You will need quicktime or quicktime light, I recommend Quicktime from Apple. I got this tip somewhere here in the forum.
