you bet, in fact I've loaded Boxee on one, although it will surely require a bit of futzing with, I didn't spend the time on mine.  I'm personally not an XBMC user, but given it's popularity, Id love to see this happen and we'll certainly support any efforts to get it running.  BTW, the box has the mythtv front end running on it, FWIW

Deos this mean that this has a x86 CPU? Which one? Couldn't find that anywhere in the specs.

Via http://linkfaq.neurostechnology.com/index.php?action=artikel&cat=1&id=13&artlang=en:

The Gamma version of the Neuros LINK is using a 2.8 GHz Athlon with an ATI Radeon 3200.  This is subject to change in future releases.

I presume that this is a 939 standard socket and not a soldered chip, right?

(EDIT: I was 10 sockets higher than I should've been.)

I do believe if I remember correctly that it is AM2 and AM2+.  I'd have Jason confirm this.

I've just installed Boxee (0.9-r3970) on a fresh LINK via their repo:

deb http://apt.boxee.tv hardy main

I have it already running on Intrepid via the same repo on another machine. But on the LINK, the Boxee app switches the screen to a wrong setting that completely distorts the display and makes it unusable. Restarting X is the only way out at that point.

Did anyone here manage to get Boxee running on the LINK? If so, any ideas as to what might be wrong with my setup?

TIA,
K.

two things:

1) you can switch to windowed mode with \ or tab, I believe, and that should work
2) check this thread: http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=1383

i was able to get boxee working with the export libgl_always_indirect bit, but havent tried adding it to my user defaults yet. I did notice a bit of a performance hit on 1080p videos, but hopefully boxee will resolve this with their update on the fourth.

Thanks for the suggestions! I used sudo to launch Boxee and it worked fine.

BTW, we sent a device to Boxee, they should receive it any time, so I expect there will be some feedback shortly.
