Twelve voters?!?

No wonder the 442v2 issues aren't getting addressed!

Do you suppose that there are Gamma testers out there that don't even read these forums anymore?

I sent mine in today for a refund.  What a let-down.  I had such high hopes for the 442.

I'm really torn between picking up the GP2X or doing a total 180 and buying a WM-compatible device that will play nicely with my new Media Center laptop.  Either way, I won't be spending any more time on these forums.

Best of luck everyone!

We're going to have an open meeting online to discuss this.  You are all welcome to attend and ask questions.

I LOVE this:

[16:53]     <AmericanTechpush>     Was there a meeting about the 422 today?
[16:54]    <JoeBorn>    AmericanTechpush: very brief.
[16:54]    <JoeBorn>    it was fairly anti-climactic for a couple reasons
[16:55]    <JoeBorn>    first, we have informally discussed a lot of the issues leading up to that meeting
[16:55]    <JoeBorn>    and second, no outsiders showed up with specific questions, etc.

Okay, so now what?  What's the answer to the question "When are we going to get the device we invested in?"  What conculsions have you guys come to in the discussions "leading up to that meeting" you had on Saturday?  If I were you Joe, I would not be as quiet as you are!

It sounds to me like you guys have back-burnered the 442v2 because the OSD is going to be your next hot product.  From the info I've seen, you may be right.  It sounds great.  But guess what?  I'm not going to buy one.  Further, I'd be willing to bet that anyone who feels slighted by the lack of progress on the 442v2 isn't going to buy one either.  You're about an inch away from turning guaranteed sales to consumers who started off believing in your company and ideas into alienation and bitterness.  If I'm way off base here, someone please set me straight.

Tell us what we want to know or lose us forever.  I've still got my original packaging and I'm not afraid to use it.

I think the problem is in incorrect resizing.

Swim, you may have solved my issues with reading comics on my 442.  Now I need to test some images at 319 x 240.  Thanks!

These boards seem to be dead otherwise.

Now that LOST is done for the season, I'm guessing my 442 will stay parked for the foreseeable future.  It would be nice to know when.

I'm amazed by how many negative comments there are about this.  Mine is perfectly fine, in no danger of breaking off, and easy to remove/replace.

Okay.  It finally happened.

My rubber cover fell off.

To be perfectly honest, I'm left with the impression that Neuros is trying to limit the number of discounted exchanges they will have to make by setting return / refund conditions months after the 442s were sold, relying on the fact that some customers may not have kept the original packaging handy after several months.

I still have the box from my computer that's over a year old, a scanner I bought over three years ago, and the camera I bought over two.  As limited as my apartment storage is, I keep the packaging for every gadget and computer component I buy for as long as I can, if for no other reason that to be able to move them safely.

To be perfectly honest, I think you're an the kind of person who loves being "the victim".  I mean COME ON!  It's all some grand conspiracy to have a generous return policy and then see if you can weed out those returns, isn't it?  Those Neuros guys are so conniving.  Your theory is ridiculous and IMO insulting to a company that simply wants to deliver the best product they can.

Here's a news flash:  the whole world isn't out to stick it to you.

I'm pretty sure that's the point.
