Good to see you fixed it! I would be too scared to do something like that.

I also want this feature. It would make playing audio files so much better.

Just asking. Did you press the "TV/LOCK" button when trying to play it on the television?

Yeah, to copy file onto the 442 you could just easily drag and drop and it will play. But also some video might not be encoded to work on the 442, so uou might need to convert it. It comes with converter software, but there are lots of other free programs that you could use, and it works just as good.

All the file managment will be under Explorer, and it will use your pre-existing directory structure.

20  Neuros 442 Personal Media Player / Neuros 442 - Feedback and Discussion / Playlist on: April 04, 2006, 08:01:12 PM
Is there a way to make a playlist. Without having to put every file as "favorite". Maybe by editting the "audall.m3u" or "audfav.m3u" we can achieve this? A mp3 player isn't complete without having to make your own playlist. I just want to know if this is possible on the current 442.

Of course it can! You would need a program on you computer to do it. I'm  not quit sure if the software that came with it is able to do it. You would need a DVD ripper program. That would do it. I know DR. Divx would be able to though. But there are plenty of programs that you could use, just search for them.

Nope, on the current model it doesnt support it. However, the 444 v2 will. So it will be supported in the future. Not on this model though.

I had this too, but is the beta the same as this one? And quit complaining about the features I'm sure they are very busy with the new version, so be patient. Rome wasn't built in a day.

But this model of the 442 doesn't have the hardware for a USB host. Just because of the fact that it doesnt have a USB port. (the ports like the one on your computer.)

So, exactly what constitutes a damaged unit? Mine's in great shape, except the little rubber cover for the plugs ripped off the first day I had it. Does that make me inelligible for the upgrade?

Doesn't matter to me, as I plan to buy a new one and keep the old one anyway, but I don't believe that a ripped flimsy rubber cover should invalidate my unit. Does it?

I think that, that has happened to everyone, and the unit still works w/o that rubber cover thing. I think they mean something that would cause the unit not ro function up to par, or like it used to.

I can't wait til the upgrade.
