Hey, I just got my 442, and I really like it, but I do have a problem seeing the names of the songs I have, because they're in the common "Artist Name - Song Name" format and most of the time I end up, for example, seeing something like this on my song list:

Some Random Arti~
Some Random Arti~
Some Random Arti~
Some Random Arti~

actually I think it cuts off sooner than that, but you get the idea.

Sometimes a file has ID3 information, but I can't count on this all the time, and I have the same problems with videos too... my video list looks like this :

Some Show Episod~
Some Show Episod~
Some Show Episod~
Some Show Episod~

Since Neuros seems to be adding features with each firmware release, I'd like to request a scrolling file name be added somewhere in the selections menu, or just on the highlighted file itself.

I mean even my old little iRiver iftp 300 scrolled the filename that you selected, so surely it can't be that hard to implement.

Thanks Smiley

Edit:Found the same request on the Wiki... this feature would really help.

I also want this feature. It would make playing audio files so much better.

Yes!!!!! Me too!!!

This version is too limited.

No bookmarks.
Can't see the whole file name.
The file selector doesn't wrap around to the bottom.

You should take a look at XBMC for the xbox and copy some of those features.

The hardware jacks are of poor quality.

I have a love/hate relationship with my unit.

Oh yea save your packing as these @##$%# won't take back your unit for an upgrade unless it's in the original packing.
NICE!

Oufff, I see I'm not the only one who think that the 442 should get a new firmware, not to see the hole ID3 it's very unpleasant and a changement would be welcome [Wink]

This is probably the single biggest complaint as it basically cripples the user's ability to interact with the device. There is so much wasted space and pointless info on the right side of the display it's almost laughable that someone ever approved this kind of UI.  I am absolutely dumbfounded that this has not yet been addressed after 2 firmware upgrades.  I suspect this is one of the primary reasons gamma testers are returning their 442.  Absent an update of this feature, I will be joining them.
