a complete standard test procedure about 7 days

maybe we can focus on mp4 application(the part we modify),that can decrease the period of test(3-5 days)!

I'm not neuros employee,

several companies support neuros R2 develop,we are one of them.

a new firmware need some standard test b4 release.

for example,R2 support iPod/nintendo/PDA(tcpmp)....not only PSP

MP4 file constructor for SONY PSP have been redefind after FW V2.7

Good news was our R2 engineers have solution now for the latest SONY PSP V2.7!!

But...

Before release the next version R2 FW,We need some test for stability.

Firmware 1.3.61 or later have a amazing function when ur R2 lost flash code.

1.put the firmware "vcr4800.bin" on ur CF/MS Duo card root dir.

2.insert the CF/MS and POWER ON ur R2 via remote controller again ..

3.wait 30 sec(black screen on TV)...the R2 will alive again!!

The max 80GB storage support have been defind inside the firmware from
1.3.51 to 1.3.90.

Now,R2 just need a IDE interface, that meaning we need some hardware design change on R2.

The SONY MS DUO up 1GB R/W speed was slowly then SanDisk all type..

So,that's a MS card respond speed question..

I think that some 1GB up SONY MS DUO was cost-down version for PSP market!!

MP4 video format encode need a index file for FF&RW; when u play it.

Long time recording that meaning we need a more SDRAM space to put it.

But the SDRAM space inside R2 was fixed...

2HR limited to avoid SDRAM overflow.

At the present moment you will not be able to connect the Recorder 2 to a 2.5 or 3.5 inch HD, but we are working on a solution.  We will post any new information regarding this topic on our website.

Does the Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder 2 supports 20GB or 40GB drives? I plan on buying this adapter and use the Neuros with a hard drive instead of a CompactFlash card.

Hard to tell without testing. I know the Datel 4GB HD works well with the Recorder, but it is hard to say for certain that this set up will work out too. If anybody has tried it, please send us some feeback.
Thanks

FJ

Maxmun 80GB 2.5" HD
