What you have is called component. What the N1 needs is called composite, AKA "RCA jacks."
I don't know what it would cost/what you would need to adapt one to another, but your local electronics store might.
Keep in mind that neither the N1 nor the N2 can record at HD resolution, regardless of what they are connected to.

VLC is actually a multi-platform program that supports many codecs, including some that are difficult to find for Windows Media Player and/or QuickTime. I did not even mention it in my post, so I'm not sure what comment you are referring to. I like VLC and use it a lot, although my understanding is that it cannot leverage the graphic accelerator cards in Macs as well as QuickTime can, and it does seem like QT Player has better performance - if it works at all.
I also use that torrent site sometimes, but frankly, pirating TV shows is illegal, and I'm not sure what the moderators will think about the actual link being in this thread. Since you have a Neuros and 24 doesn't even require cable, I'm unclear why you don't just digitize it yourself...?
Anyway, I have noticed that "lol" is sometimes appended to things that are not actually comedies. I can only guess that the world of piracy is informal and sometimes inaccurate. I don't think the "lol" is very important here - the point is almost certainly just that the files have too high a resolution for a Neuros to handle well.

I think in the torrent world, lol is just plain-old "laugh out loud," because it is usually attached to torrents pertaining to sitcom downloads.
That said, I'm not sure what that has to do with the Neuroses (hee-hee). I presume you are putting a downloaded file on a Neuros and trying to watch it on TV. Since most torrents are fancy high-definition rips, frankly I would be surprised if a Neuros didn't experience any performance issues with them. I don't think they were designed for that.
I always thought the main point of the Neuros was to capture video FROM television - if you just want to send video TO your television, you could just burn a DVD. Even if you don't have a DVD burner or don't want to pay for DVD-Rs, you could burn a video CD with a Mac program called Divillusion, and almost all DVD players will play video CDs (even many that do not mention or do[vanilla ice cream]ent this feature whatsoever).
If you don't even have a DVD player, try QuickTime Pro or ffMpegX to convert the video to a smaller resolution and/or lower data or frame rate.

Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder / Neuros MPEG4 Recorder - I need help! / Re: Recommendations for transferring content to PC

It sounds like you are actually asking about storage cards, not transferring capabilities. First, what requirements do your other devices introduce? For example, if you have a PSP, you'll want a Memory Stick; if you have a PDA with a Compact Flash slot, you'll need a CF card; and if you need SD, you bought the wrong Neuros. If you have a card reader for your computer that reads all types, and that's all you're worried about, you can get either a Memory Stick or a Compact Flash. Once you've decided on a media type, just get the best value you can find on the largest capacity you can afford. Based on what I've read here, the Neuri don't seem to like MicroDrives, so I wouldn't recommend one at this point. CF cards are likely to be cheaper than MS, but since memory prices are constantly changing and vary by location, you'll probably have to do a little comparison shopping on your own.
