The engineers are telling me that the endless reboot issue will be resolved in the next firmware version due out week of 11/13. If problems persist after upgrade we may have to consider replacing your devices at our expense. Let's see how things go once you have upgraded. Tim Artz

Neuros OSD / Neuros OSD - I need help! / Re: Remote issues - Do I have a bad unit?

Sorry to hear you are having some issues with your OSD remote signal. As it sounds like you are getting the same problem with distance using the other universal remote, I suspect it's on the unit side (as you have figured out) No problem replacing it if you want. Just contact support@neurostechnology.com and they'll take care of you. If you are a DYI kinda person, you may try opening it up and seeing if something is obstructing the IR receiver. Just peel back the four tabs on the back and unscrew the four screws. The top should come off easily and expose the board. The IR receiver is just to the right of the CF slot. Maybe try wiping the lens on it with a soft cloth and do the same on the inside housing in the corresponding location.

Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder / Neuros MPEG4 Recorder - I need help! / Re: Help with Neuros - seems to have died

first we would like to cover some of the basics of recorder 2 video setup: When you first plug in the wall adapter to the unit, do you see a green light? Is the RCA/AV cable going from the Av out port on the recorder 2 connected to your audio/video inputs on your TV (Red, White, and Yellow connected to Red, White and Yellow respectively)? Is the AV in port connected to the AV cable coming from your video source? If you already have this correct arrangement, then go ahead and press power on the remote control. When the unit is on, the green power light will remain the same, it will only change to red, if the unit is recording.
If the green light is on and there is still no picture on the TV(R2 Menu) please verify that your TV is tuned to the proper channel corresponding to the inputs you are using on the TV(ex: input 1, input 2, input 3, channel 3 or 4, etc…)
If you do see the recorder 2 menu on your TV screen, but do not see any video in the preview window, please verify connections to your video source.
Finally, are you using the supplied power source and AV/RCA cables?
If none of these possible solutions have solved your issue, please contact support.

Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder / Neuros MPEG4 Recorder - I need help! / Re: PSP 2.7 problem?

Anybody else with distortion problems? Laurent, do you have any volume controls on the devices you are recording from? If so, you probably want to turn them down. We tested here at the office with a DVD player that has volume control on it. We tested at full volume with no distortion heard on the recordings. What are you playing the recorded file on (PSP, iPod, Recorder/TV...)?
