Does anyone have a problem with charging up their batteries on their 442?  I received my Neuros a few months ago and now am having a problem charging my Neuros up to full capacity.  It used to charge fully and only needed about 4 hours to do a full charge, but recently I've been having problems charging it fully.  It only flashes for a short while before the white light on the power button stops flashing and remains white.  I turn on my unit and find that it has only charged up to half capacity.  I have to plug the adapter in and out to have it start charging properly (flashing) several times.  Is anyone else having battery problems?  I also find that I need to press the the power button several times before it turns on and after the sixth time I reset the unit.

Thoughts?

I had similar problems and I’m still waiting for my 442 to get back from support... it actually would turn off when I would pick it up and tap the unit on the left bottom. I only had my 442 for two weeks when I had to send it back.. one thing to try is to plug in the ac adapter and power the 442 on and then unplug it to see if it would stay on... normally it would but it didn't for me, also see if the time/ date has reset I think my problem was that there was a loose battery connection and that if I moved if the 442 would loose the connection and turn off and then it would be hard for me to turn it back on. Also when I got it on I noticed that the battery would say it was half charged and a minute or two it would go to quarter charge.  Read my post on my experience with support "RMA TIME" http://www.neurosaudio.com/community/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6881

same problem I'm having. Just curious what is up with the recent problems? It seems to get more, and more issues each day.

3 things can be possible with any electronic unit that has a battery, and an associated adapter.

Battery failure (battery does not charge properly)
AC adaptor circuitry failure (control and sensing circuitry does not sense and/or charge battery)
Cold solder joints in the AC adaptor or battery housing terminals (usually evident by tapping or moving the electronic unit)

Solving the first two, is by process of elimination. Exchange/replace the battery or adaptor (one at a time). If the unit still does the same thing, the most likely problem is the third (cold solder joints)

The replacement Neuros sent me had this problem and my friend's 442 also has it.  I discuss my experience with Neuros Support in detail in the post "442 Non-Support"

OK, let me ask the support team what they know about this.
