Hi, I just bought a Neuros, I must say it really has some neat features. Also some things that seemed incomplete on it. But great esp. for the current price. But I read quite a few posts on the FM reception  after I got it, because I was only picking up two or three stations ( I live in Des Moines) and they weren't all even clear, . I gather that the RF antenna port/jack still is useless unless you are willing to perform some "surgical" modifications(?). There were some other interesting methods as well. I'm not going to try to open it (yet anyway, or have someone do it for me)

But I would like to say that while trying a much higher quality of headphones then what came with the unit really helped, using the Sony MCR - v150 headphones I was able to hear 10+ stations all fairly clearly. It may not help with the Neurocast, but if you want to listen to/record from the radio you might try it. If anyone has any better ideas that don't inlcude opening the device please tell. Oh, and its probably in a past post somewhere, but why exactly wasnt the rf configured so that it would actually work?

A set of headphones with a thicker and longer cable can help all FM related issues.  The headphones will act as an antenna.

It may sound silly, but you can also wrap the headphone cord around the device while using the MyFi/Neurocast feature.

You can also try to manually set the station.  Try the lower or higher part of the FM band, rather than the middle.  The MyFi feature has different results in all areas.  Typically, it is just a matter of finding out what works where you use it.
