I have a Sony 1GB MS Pro Duo card that works great, when it is recognized. The problem is that I often have to pull out and insert the card anywhere from 2 to 5 or more times before the M4R2 recognizes it. Is there anything I can do to increase the likelihood of a good physical connection?
Thanks,
Jay

Try cleaning the MS DUO card contacts with a q-tip.  Sometimes media storage cards can pick up dirt and debris on the connection contact points.

Also, try to wiggle the card to see if there is a loose connection.

Huh - never had that problem with other storage cards, but wiping the contacts seemed to do the trick. Thanks.

Hmmm - spoke (wrote) too soon. Simply turning the device off and then back on can sometimes make the card unrecognizable. Then I have to do the pull push again until it is recognized. There is definitely something beyond dust on the card that is at play here. Any other suggestions?

The SONY MS DUO up 1GB R/W speed was slowly then SanDisk all type..

So,that's a MS card respond speed question..

I think that some 1GB up SONY MS DUO was cost-down version for PSP market!!
