I cannot seem to make the menu appear on the TV.  The Green power light shows, the red light shows (Remote is working) but when I tested the files in the PSP it's just recording black with some buzz for audio.

The unit came with the scart cables and I have tried various combinations to get it to work, including plugging the TV out from the sky box into the AV in on the recorder II and the AV out from the recorder II straight into the TV. Still nothing.

My set up is the following: Sky pace DSC40n box connected by scart to a Philips 17" flat tv.

Am I missing something here?

I bought the unit from sendit and when it arrived the tag on the remote had been removed and the unit had finger marks on it leading me to belive that it was a returned unit resent to me.

I emailed support two days ago about this with pictures of my setup but have heard nothing back yet.

Any help appreciated.  It's a great little device (concept at this stage)and I really don't want to return it.

-Peter.

We will look into this.

Put your TV on the Video Channel (you could have 2 or 3 of them), the On Screen Menu will not appear on the regular TV channel. If that does not work out with your scart cable, try to use the RCA cables (great idea to send us pictures of your set up). Connect the AV out of the Recorder to your TV RCA sockets. Put your TV on the right video channel and you should see the recorder menu.
Once you get this working, connect the AV in of the Recorder to the AV Out of your Skybox using the RCA cables as well. I am not quite sure why you have issues with the scart cables, but RCA should work fine.

Let us know if it works

Hi FJ,
Thanks for the reply.  I bought a 4 scart switcher box (from Maplin €25) over the weekend and connected it up using scart->RAC for the TV and everything else scart to scart.  It's working perfectly!
If you want I can send you illustrated pictures of the set up for other users?

Thanks again,
-Peter.
