Can get video from Satelite TV

Hello,

I have neuros mpeg recorder 2 connected to my Satelite TV and I only get black screen in the preview record mode and during record, everything seems to be conected OK (time, volume, etc... appears in the TV when I press record) but I cant preview and record the TV shows. I have tested the Satellite TV connection and when I use it directly with the TV everything go OK.

Could be that some Satellite TV have protection against this accesories??

Hello,

What kind of cables are you using? I haven't heard of satellite television being incompatible with the Neuros - I once had a somewhat similar problem, and it turned out that I had switched the video cable (using RCA/composite) with one of the audio cables. I still got audio from the other channel, plus staticky audio resulting from the video cable, and no video. (Note: I did this by accident, and would not recommend trying it on purpose for any reason.)
