Hello.
I'm new to this forum and have not yet bought a Neuros product.  My portable devices use an SD card---Palm E2, and an mp3 player, plus my digital camera.  So my question is this: The Recorder 2 does not accept the SD cards.  Does anyone know if Neuros is planning a Neuros-"3" (or some such) that will have the Recorder 2's format features: higher resolution AND accept SD cards?

Does the R2 have any type of LED or other indicator light to assist in knowing it is in the "record" mode?

I look forward to keeping up with this product line.  As soon as they release a Recorder that will use SD cards and offer the highest mp4 resolution, I'll be on board.   Now if I could just talk my wife into the 442 for Father's Day...  :~)

Thanks.

Well, yeah, actually everyone knows - Neuros has published info about the N3 in their Wiki. There are also many, many posts here from people who want an N2-like device with SD support. You have to remember the difficulty of supporting/requiring MP4 and AAC codecs for PDAs (for legal reasons, not technical ones).

You can buy a card adaptor on our site for the Recorder 2 to use it with SD, MMC (and miniSD with SD adaptor):

I also own a Palm TX, and a Canon SD100 digital camera that use Secure Digital Memory. With the CF to SD memory card adapter you can use the SD memory card inside the Recorder2 with the adapter, and it works like a charm. I have made recordings to playback on my Palm TX!

Yes it does. It has a green led that shines when the recorder has power, and it turns red when you are recording.
