I know that this subject has been covered before.  When you use the auto recod feature it works fine the 1st time then goes off auto recod which leaves subsequent video feeds unrecorded.  Any news on a firm ware fix for this.  I notice the 2.7 PSP issue was rectified quickly.  Great product very happy, but for this one thing which would make life perfect at this end.  Any news on the subject very much appreciated

A member of this forum, Barry got our system to work without a remote.
It works by using an AVR chip, that mimics the remote commands.
It is so simple to use, turn on the switch, you see the NR2 go to
its splash screen, then to the menu screen, then to record at the
flick of a switch.
Brilliant idea. It works with a motion sensor by replacing the on/off
switch with a dry contact motion sensor.
The whole unit operates off of 12Vdc, complete with the NR2 power
jack, 5 volt regulator onboard and cables.
The 12vdc supply will also run my bullet helmet/car cam.

Thnaks for the repy and I had followed that post, but I don't want to compermise the integraty of the unit and would prefer a fix to (what seems to a lay person) to be a simple bug fix.  Or has it been dumped as a fix.

Also on a seperate note.  Has anyone at neuros considered puting a clock bty into the recorder simular to digital cameras so that it keeps the date time setting when unpluged

Thanks

Hey Patch,
Our solution is a hack fix, so there is not comprimising the Neuros recorder. Stick it in a box, hook up your cables, close the lid and away you go. I am sure Neuros will add the Auto record feature, they
are excellent at this.
Our idea is an "add on" third party solution

This is killing me!

I can't beleive this isn't fixed ... I assumed it would be an easy fix and probably had been fixed, so ... I bought the R2 since I wanted the better resolution than the R1. But with no Auto Record ... maybe I was better off with the R1!

Darn it!!

Any word on when this will be fixed?!

Could not agree more Pete.

Its an advertised feature of the player that does not work, since I bought two Neuros II's, I have posted here, and placed it as a bug on bugzilla, and still no official date on when it will be fixed.

Kinda rubbed salt in when a firmware update came out, and a fix was not included.

I decided to work around this issue since the rest of the Recorder 2 features are so nice.

I decoded the IR code for the record button and luckily it's not a huge issue for me to generate with an IR LED attached to the device I use this with in my car.

If the details of the IR code would help anyone, let me know and I'd be happy to post or email.
