what do i need to do to make my hitaci 4 gb microdrive recognizable by the M2R?

Sounds like you hae the problem I have as well. My hitachi 4 gb will not be seen by the recorder 2, as well as my other 5 gb seagate microdrive. Then i read North's post as to the difference in teh formats that the company uses for the cards. They have a compactflash directory setup specifically for the storage cards that are used for storing all media and can be used and seen by the recorder2. Then there is the one like the one I have that came out of my psp datel 4 gb hd. The structure was designed for a specific use. much like mp3 players.... they can be seen by computers.. but not other devices.. like the recorder.. Yeah I know it is confusing.

Find North's postings in here about the microdrive.. good read.. and explains it waaaay better than I just did.
