Hi everybody, just thought I would report this since in the past the PSP firmware upgrades were unfriendly to R2 recordings.  I updated my PSP to the lastest firmware version, 2.8, and my priviously recorded programs still playback with no problems.

Even better, when you install firmware 2.8 on your PSP, you will be able to playback files recorded with the fine and superfine settings (1 and 1.5 Mb/s respectively). We have some work to do on the firmware, but for now, you can transfer files saved in the iPod/PDA folder (all recordings made with a QVGA 30fps Resolution, Fine and Superfine settings) in the 101MNV01. They will show up and your PSP and should play beautifully.

I have upgraded to PSP 2.8. nr2 files still play, but only from the \MP_ROOT\101MNV01 directory. If I move files to the \VIDEO directory, the THM files do not display, but the filename shows up as the "Title", which would be great except that when I try to play the video I get "This video cannot be played." error message.

Upgrade the Neuros Recorder firmware to 2.00.019 and it should work fine, here is the link:

That was the answer! File created under version 2.00.019 DO play from the /VIDEO folder. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

Files are still missing a 'TITLE' tag according to 'PSP Video 9', but since the File Name is now displayed on the PSP Title line(which accept spaces and long file names), this is irrelevant.

Thanks again.
