For some reason, I get only sound when I try to play MAQ files I've transcoded with PSP video 9. The only visuals I get are a red clock ticking down. Anyone else have similar problems? I've upgraded to the latest firmware, but I still get the same results.

the recorder only plays m4v files. you used the avc codec and you have to use the sp codec. the bad news is that since avc is more advanced, you will need to use a higher bitrate to achieve the same quality. the good news is that psp video 9 will convert the maq files to m4v without a hitch. hopefully future firmware updates will allow the recorder to play back maq files.
