Hi All, I just presented the OSD to Mobile Monday Chicago (http://smalldozes.blogspot.com/2006/07/august-21st-2006-mobile-web-20-who-put.html), and I videotaped it.  I'm not sure if it's any good, but I start out with an explanation of why open source is important beyond just the source code, having to do with freedom of communication and freedom to assemble in groups on projects, etc.  I was trying to rally this group to evangelize the importance of free software and how it affects the freedom of the whole ecosystem.  I don't know if it's any good, but I'm hoping we can get at least some snippets out of it and post them.

I've got it on miniDV which I can upload, or I could just encode on on the OSD, but if someone has some skills with this kind of stuff (editing video, transcoding), I'd love to have some help.  Just let me know.

You know, after I viewed the video I decided not to bother with it.  The quality of the video is not that great, and I think my speech could be improved.  I stuck it up on youtube, take a look.  I'm thinking to do some others in a more professional way.

Hi Joe

Patch form Australia.  Watched your video and enjoyed it, Thanks.  I am nothing when it comes to video but I have/do play a little.  I think your right to cann this one not because of the content, you or even the quality but rather you only used one camera.  At the very least you want 2 cameras 3 if possible set up 1/2  as you had it this time but tighten up the shot a little and have them on oposite sides of the room.  Then 2/3 camera if you can get a camera man...sorry person so they can pan the audiance product etc.  If the circumstances wouldn't allow for camera 2 & 3 and your stuck with 1 camera take as much extra foottage before and after as you can at the loction including product.  It will give you something to work with later.
