hi
My companies been testing the Neuos Mp4 recorder with a miniture camera device, but after some success with the unit, the thing now wont go into record/power up etc.
New batteries into the 9v battery pack, green light on the front, but thats as far as we get. Tried connecting into a composite input on our TV, but getting nothing out of it, even when trying to turn it on via the remote.
As I say green light on the front, but thats as far as it gets. I have tested the remote, by capturing the codes on a Pronto (which proves its sending IR).
It worked fine up until this week, recording no problem and playing back too.
Any ideas?
cheers
Neil

Using anything other than a genuine Neuros recorder 2 wall adapter(included with recorder 2 purchase) to power the recorder 2 voids your warranty, please do not attempt to use anything other than the supplied power adapter and also do not use the recorder 2 if the unit is not stationary, the recorder is not designed for use in any type of moving situation.

My unit has died as well. I am using the genuine Neuros recorder 2 wall adapter and am having the same problem. It seems that this product has a limited life span. Any sugestions before I send it back?

Yes the green light does come on. quote: Originally posted by Ex-Navy
Two possibilities, the adaptor or the NR2. When you plug in the adaptor to the NR2 do you get a green light?

first we would like to cover some of the basics of recorder 2 video setup: When you first plug in the wall adapter to the unit, do you see a green light? Is the RCA/AV cable going from the Av out port on the recorder 2 connected to your audio/video inputs on your TV (Red, White, and Yellow connected to Red, White and Yellow respectively)? Is the AV in port connected to the AV cable coming from your video source? If you already have this correct arrangement, then go ahead and press power on the remote control. When the unit is on, the green power light will remain the same, it will only change to red, if the unit is recording.
If the green light is on and there is still no picture on the TV(R2 Menu) please verify that your TV is tuned to the proper channel corresponding to the inputs you are using on the TV(ex: input 1, input 2, input 3, channel 3 or 4, etc…)
If you do see the recorder 2 menu on your TV screen, but do not see any video in the preview window, please verify connections to your video source.
Finally, are you using the supplied power source and AV/RCA cables?
If none of these possible solutions have solved your issue, please contact support.

I am having the exact same problem: the Neuros is connected correctly, plugged-in (with the Neuros AC adapter), I see a green light, but it will not power-on. When I first received the Neuros, I had to change the battery in the remote before I could get it to power-on. I've only had it for a month though, so I don't think the new battery should have died already. Is there an issue with the remote draining the battery when its not in use?
