I've got WinXP Home SP2 on a Dell 8250. Installed a USB2 2 card a while ago for fasterdownloading to 80GB backpack (Sweet!). Just installed an Indigita 2-port firewire card (IDT480PCI) for downloading from Canon camcorder. That part works great - even figured out how to make a playable DVD using NERO 7 software - but now none of my USB ports work (not even the original motherboard ports). Had to physically remove the firewire card (based on Lucent FW323 chip) to get the USB ports back. Any ideas on to keep both running? Pulling the card so I can download is getting to be a pain.
Thanks

Well, I seemed to have solved one problem and picked up another. I pulled the 5-port USB2 card and the 2-port Firewire card, and replaced them with a combination card from Belkin that has 2 each Firewire & USB2 ports that I picked up at Comp USA. Now when I go into Standby or Shutdown the computer, it gets as far as saying "Windows is Preparing to enter Standby" (or similar) or "Windows is Shutting Down" and stops there, never actually turning off or standing by.

Sure like having the USB2 speed for the 80GB drives!
