After syncing some music to my old 20GB N1 backpack through my new N2 head unit, I now get an 'Unable to mount hard drive' error whenever I turn the unit on. I've never had any such problems before and everything was working normally before the sync. I didn't notice any irregularities during the sync, either.

I've tried reseating the head unit in the backpack, flashing the NAND, and even (as was suggested elsewhere in the forums) hitting the side of the backpack to no avail. As a last resort I figured I would reformat the HDD through the diagnostic menu, but when I try that I get the error '0xA860'.

What could be the problem here? Is there any easy fix? Is the HDD completely dead?

Thanks in advance for any help.
