Have you formatted the CF card with the recorder or PC?

What is brand of card you are using?

Are you using a recorder 1 or 2?

Did you purchase the recorder 2 through a direct reseller?

The PSP accepts only MS DUO cards, so the CF card will not work for the PSP, but you could transfer the video files to your PC by connecting the PSP via USB and transfer the video files onto the PSP MS DUO card.  

About the recorder not seeing the CF card, have you tried to format the CF card with a CF card reader or does your PC have a built-in CF card reader?  Did you buy the card from a direct Hitachi reseller?

What device are you currently using to play back the recorder 2 files?  Do you own a PSP, ipod video, PDA or are you just using the PC?

In addition, what compression setting are you using?  WQVGA, QVGA or TV VGA?  And also, what file quality setting are you using? Economy, normal, fine or superfine?

Thanks for the information , but I have to ask; how reliable is the card adapter?  Is the transfer always smooth and do you hear any audio dropouts? In addition, what brand and type of SD card are you currently using?  Do you know if the card adapter is specific to that type or brand of SD card or should it work with any brand of SD card?

At the present moment you will not be able to connect the Recorder 2 to a 2.5 or 3.5 inch HD, but we are working on a solution.  We will post any new information regarding this topic on our website.

Your RCA cables might be bad.  Is there a loose connection within the port while the 1/8 inch side RCA jack portion is connected to the AV out or in?  Are any of the RCA video ports on your DVD or TiVo loose?

 We are continually testing different brands of flash media and new firmware options to support additional types of flash cards.  We will update the specifications page accordingly.

Have you tried switching the cables and recording from a different output source?  Does this happen in QVGA, WQVGA or TV VGA?

If you have an audio issue that is not related to cables or source devices(DVD,PS2,VCR, and etc..) Please contact me at 1-866-5-NEUROS, we would like to resolve any hardware audio problem ASAP.  

Chris C, we could not reproduce the audio issue and have deceided to use your returned unit my test unit, it works well with my PSP.  If anyone has an audio issue, please contact me at Neuros.
