Answers

What is NeuroCast?

With NeuroCast enjoy your music everywhere and anywhere. The integrated Neuros NeuroCast transmitter uses all digital stereo encoding just like the broadcast towers used by professional radio stations.

Through a wireless connection, you can broadcast your music in the car, your office or a friend’s house. No need for additional accessories or wires!

There is also no need to fumble around, trying to find a free FM station for your broadcast. With the Neuros AutoScan feature, Neuros will automatically scan the FM dial and return to you the optimal station for your broadcast.

How does NeuroCast work?

1. Initiate AutoScan (you can do this any time since the Neuros will store the frequency for you). Go to the settings menu and select NeuroCast.

2. Select AutoScan. The Neuros will scan the FM dial and return the most available station to you. This will take about 1 minute. AutoScan is complete when the blinking eye stops and the station selected remains on the screen.

3. Tune your FM radio for broadcast to the station that AutoScan has returned to you. This radio station will also be shown on the Now Playing screen in the lower right hand corner.

4. Return to the Neuros Audio menu and select the music for your broadcast.

5. Click Play. NeuroCast Playback will begin.

6. Control the volume using your FM radio as you normally would. The volume control buttons on the Neuros are not operational while NeuroCast is being used.

What stereo systems work with NeuroCast?

You can use NeuroCast with any FM radio.

How can I optimize the NeuroCast broadcast performance of my Neuros?

1. Try using AUTOSCAN to find the recommended frequency in your area. Plug in headphones, then (on the Neuros menu) go to Settings>NeuroCast>Autoscan. When Neuros is done searching, it will notify you of the recommended frequency (you can also see this when you press play with the headphones unplugged in the lower right hand of the screen). Now check the recommended frequency (from Autoscan) on the receiver to which you are broadcasting. If there is no radio station on that frequency, unplug headphones and press Play.

2. If Autoscan has recommended a frequency that has a competing radio signal, try to MANUALLY CHOOSE YOUR FREQUENCY. Find an available frequency on the receiver you are broadcasting to that has no radio signal except for static. Press play on Neuros and then manually dial to the same frequency by moving up or down on the Neuros “joystick”.

3. If problems still persist such as static and limited range, CHECK THE ANTENNA of the receiver to which you are broadcasting. Ensure that the antenna is plugged in properly as directed by the manufacturer’s manual. Also, try to minimize the distance between the Neuros and the receiving antenna.

4. TEST IT WITH OTHER RADIOS in your home, office, etc. This may help you determine if the issue resides with the Neuros or is specific to your specific location and/or receiver.

5. PLUG IN POWER ADAPTER (wall adapter or car charger) to Neuros. Connecting your device to a power supply sometimes helps improve performance.

6. UPDATE TO LATEST FIRMARE. Regular enhancements are added to help improve overall Neuros operation. Click here

7. ADJUST NEUROCAST VOLUME. To see how to do this, check out this post on our forums.
