16  Neuros OSD / Neuros OSD - Feedback & Discussion / Re: Use as Media Gateway on: October 24, 2006, 09:29:57 AM
We definately ran into more trouble than we anticipated with the basic multimedia functioning, which really set schedule back.  This has been especially troublesome because it comes from an external vendor and it's proprietary code so we have to go back to the vendor to get it fixed.  From what I understand 3.20-0.21 (not yet released) will put that behind us and we should be on the road to implementing all this other essential functionality.  The proirities are basic multimedia, USB/media issues and then on to all the rest.
17  Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder / Neuros MPEG4 Recorder - I need help! / Re: How to create separate files from a camcorder video? on: October 24, 2006, 09:19:46 AM
AFAIK, the person playing will need quicktime, but obviously one solution is Youtube which will automatically convert, and easily allow you to embed in your page.  Please post a link once you do it, I'd be very curious to see how it turns out.
18  Neuros OSD / Neuros OSD - Feedback & Discussion / Re: OSD with External USB drive on: October 23, 2006, 01:13:22 PM
the OSD is supposed to supply power to USB devices.  Any USB devices that are not working on 3.20-.20 should be entered into bugzilla and we'll track them down.
19  Neuros OSD / Neuros OSD - Feedback & Discussion / OSD Bugzilla Guide on: October 21, 2006, 08:40:00 PM
I just put up a new guide to the OSD Bugzilla dbase, and I'd love to get your feedback.  It tries to explain a little about how to use the dbase, etc.

20  Neuros OSD / Neuros OSD - Feedback & Discussion / Re: OSD Possiblities Recording online Content from PC Games on: October 21, 2006, 08:37:29 PM
yes, it can do that (record from game or other source to USB device)
21  Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder / Neuros MPEG4 Recorder - I need help! / Re: Video problems on Motorola Q on: October 21, 2006, 08:35:51 PM
I don't have a Q in front of me, but I know that WMP is a vastly inferior player to TCPMP.  You have to really scale back the bitrate to get video to play properly on the Q, try 15fps or a lower bitrate.

TCPMP works great, but apparantly the AAC supporting version is still not yet been officially released.
22  Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder / Neuros MPEG4 Recorder - Feedback & Discussion / Re: Help! on: October 19, 2006, 10:19:16 PM
Sorry about that, we just got buried with a snafu on the OSD production that has customer service buried, if you could give us another day to get your issue cleared up, it would be much appreciated.

Sorry about the delay and thanks for your patience.

got any stills?  I'd like to post something on OdNT!  (or you can do it yourself and I'll promote it)

Thanks.

24  Neuros OSD / Neuros OSD - Feedback & Discussion / Re: Available resolution settings in gamma software? on: October 10, 2006, 05:50:57 AM
kelly,

Do you have any idea when the resloution issues will be sorted out?  I am very much looking forward to being able to record in 720x480.

Michael any thoughts as to what we can expect on this on the next release?
25  Neuros OSD / Neuros OSD - Feedback & Discussion / Re: Available resolution settings in gamma software? on: October 10, 2006, 05:46:53 AM
The recording mode says: on, off, automatic.
if the recording mode is  'On' in  Video recorder setting, the Audio recoder mode will become Off automatically.if record ,it will record video but not audio.
if the recording mode is  'Off' in  Video recorder setting, the Audio recoder mode will become On automatically.if record ,it will record audio but not video.
The Audio recoding mode(on/off) is opposite to the video recording mode.
Automatic:
When OSD  has no  input signal, it won’t record automatically.
Once OSD  has input signal, it will record automatically.after input signal is off,it will stop recording automatically.
the Automatic recording function hasn't achieved in current version(3.20-)

Obviously the above is pretty confusing.  If anyone has suggestions, please post. (here or bugzilla):

26  Neuros OSD / Neuros OSD - I need help! / Re: Clock Issues on: October 09, 2006, 09:39:27 PM
Adding NTP is definately on the to-do list, but obviously we have to fix the basic fundamentals first (stable multimedia, getting USB to work, etc)

There are two bugs here for those of you following bugzilla.

27  Neuros OSD / Neuros OSD - Feedback & Discussion / Re: Few quesions. on: October 07, 2006, 05:09:41 PM
The fact that the wiki is vague and something of a work in progress is a pretty fair reflection of the state of the product.  If you are looking for something that "just works" off the shelf, we're not there yet.

I'm not the expert on the electronic programming guide, but it's our expectation to use the same zap-it service that MythTV uses.  I believe that's XMLTV, but please confirm that.  If you have knowledge in this area, we'd love to have your participation, that's for sure.

Also, I appoligize for my ignorance, but what's TTX?
28  Neuros OSD / Neuros OSD - Feedback & Discussion / Re: Question regarding the OSD Gamma availability on: October 07, 2006, 05:04:48 PM
They should ship sometime late next week as I understand it.  Welcome aboard!
29  Neuros OSD / Neuros OSD - Feedback & Discussion / Re: Ethernet/remote access status on: October 03, 2006, 03:24:40 PM
well, as you suggest it already partially works today, but I'd say on a "ordinary user" level this feature is a good month away at least from being "officially supported."
30  Neuros OSD / Neuros OSD - I need help! / Re: Can't boot when serial cable plugged in on: October 01, 2006, 04:44:47 PM
This sounds like a mechanical defect that we need to fix.  Anyone else experienced this?

I added Bug 699: http://bugzilla.neurostechnology.com/show_bug.cgi?id=699
