Hi All,
Anybody that has this constant rebooting issue after upgrading to the latest firmware should contact support for an exchange.  I have told support to swap these out.  Call 866-5NEUROS or support (at) neurostechnology.com
The sooner the better so that our engineers can figure out why this is happening to a handful of our units.

Sorry for the trouble,
Tim

Well atleast now I know others are also haveing the same issue.
The only response I received from Tech support was load the latest firmware. I replied that I did this 3 days ago and have not heard back from them.
Because it keeps rebooting I can't do anything with it.
It looks like the no questions asked return policy is only good for 90 days on the OSD?
This is turning out to be a bigger disaster than the 442, Atleast the 442 actually worked for 90% of what was advertised.

JEFFH, if you've already tried updating the firmware and that didn't solve it, we should try swapping out your unit, at a minimum so we can look at it.  I have customer service contact you here, or you can write them at support (at) neurostechnology.com

Sean, were you able to duplicate the rebooting on that other returned unit I gave you?  Do we know what the cause was yet?

Sorry you are having problems with your Neruos DAC.  Did you try using the power cord that came with the unit.  If this doesnt work, then we need to run some test.  What you can do is take the player out, then connect the power cord.  If it blinks 3 times, then pauses, then blinks 3 times again then the battery is good.  It could be the player, but if it doesnt blink 3 times, then it is the battery.

Perform this test and let us know how it works out.  You can buy any charger that matches out specs, and those specs are:

Input: 120V 60HZ 13W
Output: 9VDC 800mA
Polarity: Negative Outside, Positive  Inside

You can get one shipped to Europe by using one of our online vendors, I suggest American Techpushers.

Thanks,
Neuros Support

Hey SteveG,

Could you please try learning other remote to know if just work at a distance of more than 3 or 4 feet too.
If no, so maybe your OSD remote issue, If Yes, I guess your OSD recept issue. And please connect to Neuros support.

I installed 3.25-0.27  today, because I had the reboot problem and the new firmware didn't fix it. It still reboots when the menu says loading the SD Card. I just have it connected to the TV to keep it simple.  No network at all. So it seems that it is more simple that Network or DHCP issues. I have been told that a lot of us have the constant reboot issue and  they are working on them. They sent me a new unit and it also rebooted frequently.  Looks like we just need to be a little patient. It has been a long ordeal getting this to work correctly.

I am thrilled that software version 3.25-0.27 now makes BEAUTIFUL ASF files but it just does not see my CF 514 or 2GB cards.

Keep on working programmers, you are getting better and better!  Thanks for your efforts.

Im still waiting to hear back from Neuros Tech Support about why my OSD keeps rebooting with the latest firmware.
It sounds like others are not having this problem so I suspect I must have bad hardware.
Any suggestions about what I can try as I wait for Tech support to respond to my email?

Thanks for the reply dongle. I've got a 12v supply that's just for the camera itself so wont be powering 2 things at once.

As I will only be using it in car, having it really portable and all in one small package isn't so much of an issue and so I can operate with 2 seperate power supplies for the camera+mic and for the video recorder.

I was using an archos AV340 but it was useles and I should have bought the Neuros instead!

I will contact Motorsportcameras and see what power supply theirs comes with and make my descision.
